Who We are?

The Sohbatpur Khidmat Foundation (SKF) is a National Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established on December 31, 2019, and registered on April 24, 2023 under the Balochistan charities ( Registration, Regulation and Facilitation) ACT No. XI of 2019. It was founded by a group of dedicated youth with a common aim and commitment to addressing human misery, focusing on vulnerable segments of society such as women, children, minorities, refugees, disabled/abused individuals, and the poorest of the poor.

As a right-based social reformatory organization, SKF takes a holistic approach to development initiatives, emphasizing human rights. The organization analyzes various factors contributing to oppression, injustice, violence, vulnerability, discrimination, abuse, and poverty in society. Survivors are treated as “subjects of the change process.”

SKF envisions a society where the poorest of the poor, marginalized, socially excluded, and hard-to-reach populations are empowered to overcome their miseries, poverty, and social/economic burdens. The ultimate goal is to ensure equal human rights and opportunities for all, allowing individuals to lead lives of dignity and self-fulfillment.

Recognizing the enormity of its mission, SKF acknowledges that it cannot be the sole remedial force. Therefore, the organization adopts a rigorous approach, focusing on strengthening intra-organizational capacities through partnerships, alliances building, advocacy efforts, campaigns, and program cooperation at both operational and policy levels

SKF is committed to fostering a right-based culture, promoting social justice, guaranteeing self-respect, ensuring equal rights with opportunities, and establishing a uniform path to development for all segments of society. The organization consistently contributes to the development of such a culture, striving to create a society where norms and values align with the principles of equality and justice.
